INCUBATION AND ENTREPRENEUR PACKAGE (IEP)

The purpose of the IEP is to teach professional business people U.S. business laws, practices, and business development techniques. It will also include a Businessmen Development Program, Business Networking Package, and Cultural Awareness 101.

Mentoring is an opportunity for clients to achieve their personal and business goals! IEP provides an essential link between cultural norms, traditions, international norms/rules, and business reality and offers personal and professional benefits to every client.

How does the Business Mentoring Program work?

  • Clients submit an application and resume to participate in the program.

  • Clients are matched with a mentor who has expertise in the area of interest.

  • Mentors and Clients/Mentees communicate weekly for at least 30 minutes throughout the semester.

  • Both parties evaluate the experience and provide feedback during the mentorship period and at the end of their assigned period.

Mentors provide clients with insights from their own experiences, advice on best practices in applying the skills they are mastering in college, and valuable assistance and advice for their career path. Goals for mentors include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answering questions and giving advice

  • Discussing values and ethics in business

  • Helping with corporate terminology

  • Suggesting articles and books

  • Critiquing of a cover letter and resume

  • Conducting mock interviews

Connect with a mentor or mentee now and make an impact by sharing your professional insight and guidance. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these opportunities, please contact president@theservicesgroup.org
